The Secrets:
• Terry (Tyler Perry): DNA tested his daughter without Dian's knowledge to see if he was really her father.
• Diane (Sharon Leal): Had her fallopian tubes tied after the birth of her daughter so she wouldn't have to deal with having any more kids and without Terry's knowledge.
• Patricia (Janet Jackson): Blames herself for her baby son's death.
• Gavin (Malik Yoba): Blames Patricia for the death of his baby son.
• Sheila (Jill Scott): Believes her husband is loyal.
• Mike (Richard T. Jones): Has been cheating on Shelia for a while with Trina.
• Angela (Tasha Smith): really loves Marcus, but has been cheating on him and gotten a V.D. and passed it on to him.
• Marcus (Michael Jai White): Cheated on Angela, and doesn't know that she knows he's got V.D. from her.
The Ending:
The couples reunite for an award ceremony in D.C. to support Patricia who received an amazing award for her book.
• Terry and Diane are back together after a period of separation.
• Patricia and Gavin finally have the emotional catharsis needed to move on from the death of their son.
• Sheila is married to Troy—they are amazingly happy and perfect for each other--and Mike now realizes that he messed up in divorcing her.
• Marcus has learned to be strong and forceful with Angela leading them to much more mutually satisfied.
