Spoiler Points and the Ending:
• Mr. Magorium (Dustin Hoffman) is planning on leaving the earth—not as in going on vacation but as in he's 243 years old already. Nobody can believe him. They love him too much. The store has a tantrum.
• After he's gone, Molly (Natalie Portman) puts the store up for sale.
• Eric Applebaum (Zach Mills) tries to buy the store with his saved allowance and a handshake deal on future earnings.
• The store turns completely black with despair.
• Just as the deal is about to get done, Henry (Jason Bateman) and Molly are discussing her belief in the store's magic, and the wooden block suddenly comes to life and flies around the store. She conducts it around spreading its magic and restoring the store to its former grandeur. This is the one really magical scene in the film.
