Spoiler Points:
• Finn (Matthew McConaughey) and Alfonz (Ewen Bremner) discover a shard from a plate Finn believes bears the crest of the family responsible for helming the ship, Aurelia, carrying King Philip of Spain's famous Queen's Dowery treasure that sank off the cost of Florida during a hurricane in the late 1700s.
• Finn owes Bigg Bunny (Kevin Hart) $62,000 for a loan he got to treasure hunt when he found the shard. Bigg Bunny isn't interested in anything but his money and orders Finn killed.
• Finn escapes the bumbling henchmen Cordell (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) [very embarrassing role for him] and Curtis (Brian Hooks) and is rescued by spring break boaters.
• Finn and Tess's divorce is finalized.
• Tess works on yacht of near billionaire Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland).
• Nigel's daughter Gemma (Alexis Dziena) arrives to spend time with father.
• Tess and Finn convince Nigel to hunt the Aurelia's treasure.
• Incessant jokes about Gemma's lack of intelligence and playing 'dumb' abound.
• Big Bunny hires Finn's former mentor Moe (Ray Winstone) to find treasure.
• Tess and Finn figure out that treasure wasn't on sunken ship.
• Tess and Finn discover, in old church, that captain of Aurelia his treasure in blow hole off coast of island, but they are overheard by Bunny and his henchmen who have been following them.
• Tess and Finn try to escape fun fire on a Vespa? The henchman over-power them, and Finn goes off the cliff with the scooter to a firey explosion. Tess is captured. Finn survives and hurries to find Tess. The next morning, the henchmen force Tess into the blowhole. She gets caught in the current and then finds the treasure. For some reason, she then cracks a chest and launches gold coins and jewelry up the blowhole sending Bunny's henchmen into a tizzy.
• Nigel's boat arrives to help as Bunny arrives by seaplane.
• Finn dives into the blow hole to save Tess.
• Mayhem ensues resulting in Bunny capturing Tess and tossing her into his plane. He tries to flee with her as a hostage, but Gemma transports Finn to plan by jet ski just in time. He climbs aboard, and Tess kicks him overboard. Finn crashes the plane but they aren't hurt.
• Nigel, Tess, Finn, and Moe open a museum for the treasure.
