Spoiler Points for Xavier Gens's Frontier(s)
• Alex () leads a gang of bank robbers: Tom (David Saracino), Yasmine (Karina Testa), Farid (Chems Dahmani), and Sami (Adel Bencherif) who take advantage of riots in Paris due to the political climate by hoisting a hefty sum of money. With police in hot pursuit, Sami gets shot and wounded. Tom and Farid head for the border (the frontier as it's known) to hideout in an inn. Yasmine and Alex take Sami to the the hospital where he croaks.
• Tom and Farid arrive at the inn and are greeted by lovely hostesses who end up going up to their room for a hot time in the OK Corral. Their fun is broken up by the arrival of the male heir to the inn. He throws his weight around and is calmed by the arrival of the Father.
• During the family dinner, they have to force feed the mother, grossing out Tom and Farid who politely excuse themselves. They then decide to leave with the money. As they try to escape, Tom's hand gets nearly shot off. They run to the car and try to speed away. Goetz (Samuel Le Bihan) pursues them and eventually runs them off the road and down a mineshaft. Despite the fall, they survive and begin to travel into the mine. After some distance, they find a portal and climb through. It leads directly into the home and Hans (Joël Lefrancois) pings Tom's head and plucks him out of the tunnel. Farid backs down and tries a different route. Tom is chained up and hung by his feet to drain of blood. Hans searches out Farid. Trying to escape, Farid hides in roasting chamber where he is eventually trapped and boiled alive by Hans. The bubbly, flesh literally melts off his body.
• Pregnant Yasmine and Alex arrive at the inn, but are escorted to a nearby hostel where they are told their friends have gone. The place looks abandoned, but they don't seem to think it odd. Inside, they are told to wait, but Alex needs to use the restroom. When he's coming back, his curiosity lures him to explore, and he find Tom's body hanging upside down. When he runs back to escape with Yasmine, both are apprehended and taken to a cage and chained to the wall. They are left for a while, and Alex breaks Yasmine's chains. She crawls under the cage door through a tunnel she digs and escapes after kissing him goodbye and professing her love. Once free, she escapes almost unnoticed. She is later picked up by Goetz who returns her. Alex gets his Achilles tendons severed by pincers to prevent him from thinking about escaping. But, it doesn't matter for shortly there after he is shot and killed and salted.
• Yasmine is told her blood will purify their race and is chained to the bed in her room. She is promised to the elder son to be his wife. Again she escapes and goes on a killing rampage of her own. She scurries all around and ends up killing one guy with a circular saw. Another dude gets his brains blown out when he's coming after her by the sympathetic Klaudia (Amélie Daure). Covered in blood like Carrie, she battles with the remaining family members, and finally drives away in a cleansing rain. She reaches a police roadblock and the film ends.
