Spoiler Points for Pineapple Express:
• Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) is a process server with a pot problem and a high school girlfriend, Angie Anderson (Amber Heard).
• Dale's dealer, Saul Silver (James Franco), has no real friends but tries to win one in the form of Dale by selling him his best pot ever, Pineapple Express. The two sort of bond, but are forced to become blood brothers when Dale witnesses drug kingpin, Ted Jones (Gary Cole) and a police officer (Rosie Perez) murder someone—a bud of Pineapple Express left at the scene by a flabbergasted Dale turns out to be the fatal clue that leads Jones's men right to him.
• Red (Danny C. McBride) gets mixed up in all this because he's also a client of Sauls's.
• There's lots of chase downs, smack downs, shooting and mayhem as the police try to take on the real criminal drug gangs, and Ted Jones with is inside connection lead them constantly back to Dale and Saul.
• In the end, there's a giant finale that sends up Ted Jones's drug operations in flames with the three protagonists living to smoke another day.
