Spoiler for the Ending to Body of Lies

If above your seat you noticed a hidden camera monitoring your every move, so you panicked and climbed the screen curtain. But, as you attempted to scale over to the camera, you fell 20 feet onto other patrons, yet still managed to fall unconscious, only to wake up covered in popcorn during the credits, then this spoiler is for you.

• Roger Ferris's and Ed Hoffman's fake terrorist group leader Omar Sadiki (Ali Suliman), much to their dismay, is caught by Al-Saleem (Alon Abutbul) and spills the beans that an American has set him up—or so he surmises.
• The twist here is that you don't know until the end that Hani (Mark Strong), upon discovery of the capture and interrogation of Sadiki and learning that he was set up by Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio), kidnaps Aisha(Golshifteh Farahani) and frames Al-Saleem. When Ferris discovers that Aisha has been kidnapped, he assumes it's the work of Al-Saleem, and he begs Hani for help. Hani refuses mentioning that he won't help a liar. Hoffman is also loathe to help out. Ferris begs for the opportunity to be swapped for Aisha.
Hani's men capture Ferris, and he then informs his plant within Al-Saleem's organization where and when to pick Ferris up.
• In a clever plan in the desert designed to prevent the eyes in the sky from being able to follow him, they race out in unmarked black cars, stir up a dust storm to cloak which car Ferris is put in, and then they race off in opposite directions.
• At Al-Saleem's compound, Ferris is tortured for information and then led to believe he will be killed on video for the world to watch.
• He fails to give up information, and just before he would most likely have been killed, Hani's troops come in and rescue him. He wrongly assumes it's the American forces.
• Back in the hospital yet again, he's paid a visit by Hani who claims that you can tell a true friend by who's the first to show up to see you when you are in the hospital, but then again, no one else knows where he is.
• Ferris is furious and worried about Aisha. Hani assures him that she's ok, and that she was never harmed or captured or ransomed in the first place. Ferris doesn't believe him because the blood was tested to be hers. Hani said, "She donates blood all the time as a nurse," indicating he had access to her real blood for the kidnapping scene.
• The two squabble a bit about their methodologies but revel in the capture of Al-Saleem. Ferris knows he has a true friend and mentor in Hani, far better actually than Hoffman could ever be.
• Out of the hospital, Ferris quits the CIA despite a wonderful offer from Hoffam to come and be his number two man in Washington. He wants to stay in Jordan and be with Aisha.

Opening Poem Quotation:

What all schoolchildren learn,
Those to whom evil is done
Do evil in return.
