Readers Pick Worst and De Facto Best Coen Bros. Films

For three months, movieEVERYday.com has been polling readers asking them to select the worst from a list of Coen Brother's films. Their choice for worst, garnering 25% of the votes was The Ladykillers. The poll rose out of the feeling that despite the great cast and interesting characters and the recent critical acclaim for No Country for Old Men (acclaim this critic felt was nothing more than a make up for totally missing the boat on Fargo), Burn After Reading was an utter mess of a movie proving that just because you get something right in life, pays no guarantee you'll ever see success again.

Interestingly enough, Fargo received the fewest votes (1%) for worst film making it the de facto best of the Coen Bros. films. Something with which this critic whole heartedly agrees! Fargo is an ingenious film from start to finish with pinnacle performances from Frances McDormand and William H. Macy. My only wish is that someone would make a movie that starts with the discovery of the money in the spring when the snow starts to melt.

Yeah, I hear you. But there are a lot of people who cannot stand Lebowski. It's more of a cult film than I think the fans of it realize. What do you think was their worst? Feel free to post and comment on the poll results.
