Spoiler Points for I Love You, Man (2009)

If you got the sudden urge to run home to your man-cave halfway through the film, then this spoiler is for you.

• Please read the full review for the beginning segments of the plot. This spoiler will only reveal a few major plot points and the ending.

• As Zooey (Rashida Jones) begins to get a bit jealous of Sydney (Jason Segel), he will do something seemingly helpful but turns out unforgivable to ruin his friendship with Peter (Paul Rudd). Sydney borrows $8K from Peter supposedly for an investment. Days later, as Peter is driving down Hollywood Blvd, he suddenly sees his face up on every billboard next to a variety of clever but sometimes loaded claims about his ability to sell real estate. He gets furious that Sydney used the money for this and tosses him out of his life forever. As the next few days unfold, however, he gets more calls from people seeking his real estate services than ever. Plus, Lou Ferrigno wants him back.

• On Zooey and Peter’s wedding day, Sydney receives a call about the wedding. He hopes on his motor scooter and heads off in a tux to the wedding. Once there, it turns out that Zooey called him. How could they get married without Peter’s best man? He reluctantly joins the wedding party and all is well.
