Once again, the critics have gone hog wild and nominated films most people haven't seen and won't get to see until late December or even January in some cases. There is no possible way that the Dark Knight was omitted from the list, however. It was one of the best films of the year, by far and featured some of the most incredible acting and directing to date in the Batman franchise. Ah, but then there it is, franchise. Why is it that critics only appreciate the Godfather franchise? Oh, I'm sorry and the Rocky franchise. It's still hard to believe that Rocky won best picture and The Dark Knight doesn't get nominated? Well, we'll see, maybe the Academy won't mess this up!
