Spoiler points for Hellboy II: The Golden Army
• Professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm (John Hurt) introduces young Hellboy (Montse RibĂ©) to a mythological story about an Elven King Balor (Roy Dotrice) who makes a deal and allows for the construction of a magical, mechanical, golden army of warriors that can do battle and win against the humans on earth who are increasingly overtaking the planet. When the army slaughters without conscience so many humans, he regrets his choice and splits the gold crown which controls them in to three parts. Two he keeps for himself and one he gives to the humans to protect.
• Back in his grown-up life, Hellboy (Ron Perlman) is fighting with his newly pregnant girlfriend, Liz Sherman (Selma Blair). She doesn't appreciate his messy life.
• Hellboy wants attention from the outside world and credit for all his team does to make things better for humanity. He doesn't want to live under the cloak of silence anymore. This drives his government agent, Tom Manning (Jeffrey Tambor) bonkers as he works to keep videos of Hellboy in public off YouTube™.
• A Christie's style auction house unknowingly plans to auction off the third piece of the gold crown when the Elven King's long-exiled son, Prince Nuada (Luke Goss) arrives with henchmen in tow, to take back what he believes should be rightfully his. He take the crown piece and unleashed the tooth fairies (horrid little creatures that devour anything to get to the calcium in their bones and especially their teeth).
• Hellboy and team arrive to investigate and get attacked by the fairies. Liz incinerates the place to kill them all, but Hellboy escapes by falling out a window onto a car. "I guess the secret it out."
• The government sends in a new member of the team, Johann Krauss (James Dodd / Seth MacFarlane) to keep Hellboy at bay. He's an ectoplasmic being trapped in a retrofitted diving suit.
• Various battles between Hellboy's team and Nuada arise.
• Liz discovers she's pregnant and keeps the info from Hellboy.
• They all battle an earth elemental downtown which Hellboy ends up killing.
• Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) falls for Prince Nuada's sister, Princes Nuala (Anna Walton).
• They take Nuala back to their lair. She has the final piece of the crown her brother needs along with the map to the location of the buried Golden Army.
• He finds her due to their telepathic connection, but he cannot figure out where the other piece of the crown is which she's hidden in a book of poetry.
• He leaves with part of his metal spear embedded in Hellboy's chest and tells them to bring him the crown piece if they ever want to see Nuala alive again. When they try to remove the part of the spear from Hellboy's chest, it moves closer to his heart where it will kill him. So, they steal an unauthorized plane and fly off to find the Prince.
• They encounter a legless troll in a cart who guides them into a living rock entrance to an underground world of the elves. They meet up with a hideous beast who explains to them their destiny and removes the spear piece. Liz brings Hellboy back by finally telling him he's going to be a father.
• They move on to locate and battle Nuada. Hellboy wins the battle, and Liz melts the crown. Nuada and Nuala turn to wax and shatter.
• Back on the surface, the four members of the team are met by Tom Manning and they resign, one-by-one. Liz tells Hellboy she's carrying twins.
